This month there will be a grand opening celebration because of the opening of the first black barber shop that is opening inside a Walmart. Walmart has never had an in-store tenant that wasn’t affiliated with a chain so this is definitely a special event. They also plan to help put more young people through barber school. Walmart also hopes to increase the customer traffic and to spread their message of being a Walmart store for the locals. Walmart said: "Lucky Spot Barbershop represents hope, determination, new beginnings and opportunity for those that have been told that they cannot do something.".
