This Rochester-based supermarket chain just made its long-awaited Manhattan debut. Wegmans opened a new 87,500 square feet store, making it one of the largest grocery stores in the borough. This new store is on two floors, in the historic Wanamaker Building.

A new Wegmans location is announced to open in Manhattan next year! It will be located at the corner of Astor Place and Lafayette Street. It should come to the former Kmart location.

The store will occupy the street level and basement of 770 Broadway — a combined 82,000 square footage.
